Great place to eat! Quick service, home-style meals like meatloaf & mashed potatoes are always a favorite. Try the veal Marsala, I was surprised at how good this was.!

It's good, although its not much better than other typical mom and pop diners. Food is very cheap, but it took a while to get a seat.

Great little dive with one of the best breakfasts in the area. Lunch is great also as all homemade and friendly service. It's small and not much atmosphere but great prices and great portions.

Great place to eat! Quick service, home-style meals like meatloaf & mashed potatoes are always a favorite. Try the veal Marsala, I was surprised at how good this was. The best waitress is Brittani, she's always on her game! Tip her well!

We had breakfast there yesterday for the first time. Very good food. I had french toast (which was about the best I've had) and also biscuits and gravy. My husband ordered biscuits/gravy with eggs. It was outstanding! It will be my new regular weekend breakfast place. It's kind of small so I bet it's hard to get a seat when it's busiest but I'd be willing to wait. Service was ok, too. Prices are good/average - we paid about $21 for two people but I had two dishes.

Fast Service (though not the best). The food is what you expect to get from a "home sytle" restaurant.

Love, love, love! This is definatly a local favorite! Good home cooking! And a great price. I usually get the patty melt. Don't go during early bird, a lot of sr citizens in this area and it gets crowded!

This is a definite comfort food local staple. When you're in search of a good, hearty breakfast or traditional lunch fare, this is the place! There's usually a bit of a wait on the weekends, but both the food and service are worth it. The have excellent omelettes (I've had the Mediterranean and Mom's special - both great!). They use thick, country ham (vs. Canadian) on their Eggs Benedict which was actually delicious. The hash browns and home fries are hardy with just the right amount of crispiness! Today I broke away from the breakfast fray and ordered a Turkey Rueben - holy moly it was good and the fries were just right. The only thing it was lacking was coleslaw...that would have been the perfect accompaniment. If you're looking for really good no-nonsense food, this is the place. You won't find inventive or eclectic dishes but you will find comfort food done right!

Mom's is my favorite diner in south florida and has become a staple for me every saturday for many reasons. The staff is incredible, always friendly and attentive even during rushes. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes to order or receive my food. They go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your experience. Along with the staff the atmosphere is very comforting. Simply furnished with wooden tables, chairs and typical stools you'd find at a diner. They have music playing from an old radio that really fits with the environment and adds a little background sound without being overwhelming. Ofcourse the food is the focus here, not only do they serve you quickly but I've never had a meal cooked incorrectly. My favorite is the NY strip stake with eggs over easy. An easy meal but also extremely easy to over or under cook. All the meals are very large and reasonably priced, you really get the best for your money.

I don't know when the word Diner became a synonym for, "large plates, of tasteless food", but Mom's Diner falls right in line. On the Up side, it has a cozy atmosphere, about half of the staff is really pleasant and this is the first diner in S.Florida to actually bring my potatoes out the way I ordered them- well done. So for those admirable qualities, Mom's gets a 3 stars in my book. I left full, albeit with a dangerously high dose of sodium in a effort to create a Taste on my pallet, but Full nonetheless and for a price that was very reasonable.. But, unfortunately, Mom's definitely left me wanting more.. Not more of their food, I'll likely never be back, but Wanting More from a meal, more to delight my tastebuds, and more from a Diner. I will make finding my ideal diner my Yelpriotic duty, so that all South Floridians, that also crave for more, can live together in delicious, morning gluttony.

My mate has been going to this location since he was a boy with his twin brother. He showed me this place and I've never found anything like it before. This has to be a local favorite! You get such great huge portions of food for a great price with such a family orientated friendly fun staff. I could eat moms kitchen every morning for breakfast and love my life. Their home fries are to die for. And let me tell ya. I'm a picky one about my home fries and every time I go here they are cooked perfectly! And guess what the best part is. Let's say you're a vampire like myself and enjoy sleeping in later then most and still have the taste for breakfast, you can come to this place and they will still treat you like it's 7am all over again. They won't hesitate to make you anything you wish for. The staff is so friendly and beyond attentive. I could never complain about such a gem of a place. If you're every near by stop by!

Liked alot but didn't love it. Pretty down to earth no frills hole in the wall restaurant. Good service, waitress staff very likeable. I had the eggplant lasagna, very good, nice portion, homemade like most things here. Wife had a chicken wrap also generous portion, tasty which she enjoyed. My mother had an omelette looked good and she said was good. One big shortfall was my mom's (no pun intended) side order of fries, which was clearly reheated fries, big no no, fries were awful. Alot of people eating breakfasts which looked good especially pancakes.

    (4)
  • Steve G.

Stopped in for a late breakfast. Place was full. Good sign. Western omelet was nicely done with a good amount of filler. Grits were tasty. A man at the next table had ordered corned beef and cabbage. It looked great. I'm going back soon to try that for dinner. Servers are friendly too.

This place is absolutely Amazing!!!!! Not only is it affordable but their really generous with their food . The staff is super friendly and genuine.

    (5)
  • Paula M.

We use to LOVE going here but over the years it has declined in quality. Biscuits are usually hard on the bottoms. House salad for dinner is like yard clippings thrown in a tiny bowl. We use to order breakfast to go alot but not anymore. You order meat with eggs and grease is just thrown in box on top of eggs with either steak, bacon or sausage patties. They have gotten very sloppy.

Great place to take your family, very good home cooking, and very quick service, they definitely notice and take good care of the regular patrons, overall great place to eat

  • Erin E.

Awesome across the board! Every single time I've ever been there my order has been 100% correct and has been delivered with a smile on the server's face. I can't think of a single member of their staff who isn't very friendly and accommodating. From a food standpoint, they are above average as well. I frequent this location and will continue to do so in the future for a delicious breakfast and friendly service.

  • Scott K.

When other reviewers write "a down to earth feel" what they mean is that the place is a dump and the waitresses are rude. We asked the waitress to wipe our sticky table down and she replied that she already did.

Good food. Fast service. Don't let the curb appeal deter you from trying this little gem.

So, I'm rating this review based on a home style cooking and family environment. The food was pretty good. I had the meat loaf the gravy was really yummy. The vegetables could use seasoning. The restaurant is clean although dated.

The name says it all....Good consistant food and service. Kitchen functions pretty well under all conditions....even when very busy, service has always been more than adequite. Great spot for a quick hearty breakfast or lunch.

  • Steven D.

So disappointed in the service we had recently. We are semi-regular customers. We wanted to substitute sliced tomatoes instead of potatoes and was told there would be an extra charge. I know this sounds minimal, but really?? An up-charge for tomatoes? We also felt very rushed because there was a line outside waiting for tables. My plate was taken away and I wasn't finished eating. Boo!

  • Henry L.

A local favorite once I moved to the area. Breakfast is always good, no complaints. They keep the food moving, so there isn't ever a long wait (except shortly after church). Lunch is yum. I tend to stick with my tuna melt and sautéed onions. I asked for mushrooms once, but they were from a jar, and I noticed the texture immediately. Request fresh mushrooms and they are glad to oblige. The servings are very filling. Parking is good, although it is a tiny location. Overall, love this place for a quick version of what my mom would make me for breakfast.

outstanding food......breakfast(especially the Southern Benedict) is great.....haven't had anything from here yet that wasn't great.....the deserts are mmm mmm good

  • Katie L.

Not good at all! And it's so close to our house, dammit!! I remember this place from 15 years ago when I used to live here, we moved back and were excited to try it again. I remembered it was good... obviously my memory was WRONG! Everything tasted microwaved! No way was it not previously frozen... from the sausage to the bacon to the chicken fried steak.. it all tasted of frozen nastiness. The chicken fried steak came out in NO JOKE 1 minute... HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE!?!?! Oh right, its frozen, pre-cooked and dropped into a fryer. ew. I didn't think it was possible but the eggs and toast were flavorless... how can that be? Eggs are eggs! But they had no flavor. There is absolutely no reason for me to come back here. Such a shame!

    (2)
  • Tara L.

Quaint and delicious! I sat at the counter, got called "Hun" by every server, had a conversation with a stranger, and filled up on some excellent biscuits and gravy. Great food and atmosphere.

    (5)
  • David P.

I usually end up here on my Florida trips. A fairly reasonable diner with a weird mix of horse people, retirees and locals. The place could use some improvements to the physical space. Good for breakfast foods like omelets. I suggest keeping the ordering to the basics. Service is usually friendly. They turn the tables quickly, but don't be surprised if there is a wait at peak times.

    (3)
  • L P.

I just love this place, always great food and friendy service - just a nice hometown feel kinda place. If you like hot sauces like me then look no further, it is out of this world here! Made right here and its the best I've ever had! Next time I'm taking home the large bottle!

  • Monica B.

Super cute homemade food, typical cafeteria decor, don't let the outside or area fool you, this is a diamond in the rough. They have lots of things to choose from, like pasta and homemade meatloaf and mash tators. What impressed me the most was the service, the waitress was sooo awesome she changed my mash potatoes because they instinctively they added gravy. My salad was huge too. She was super fast and anticipated anyone's wants and needs, so hard to find anywhere in Miami. The food was really good, mom had the pasta with shrimp and it was love at first site, my dad the steak special (HUGE) and I loved my strawberry and rhubarb pie! now tell me where can you get rhubarb pie in Miami? LOL I think we might just make a trip to try the other pies they had with some ice cream. Make sure to stop by if you are looking for super fast, homestyle cooking & friendly service...its about 1/2 mile from the exit for Lake Worth. Mom's kitchen sure loves their customers too which is HUGE in my book. Mom, you out shined yourself, keep up the good work & keep on baking those yummy pies.

Chilli with onions & cheese was ok, tasted like it came out of a can. Grilled Turkey w/bacon on rye was great! Service was fast even during lunch.

    (3)
  • Linda B.

went there for chili, thinking it will be good. was I wrong. I get this bowl of meat and more meat and more, kind of lumped together and i think i saw maybe 5 kidney beans , very very thick not very enjoyable at all. this was not chili at all could have made a meatloaf from it, have never seen anything like it and was not very good to spoon out of bowl, will not go back anymore. Use to eat there a lot but I see things have changed and for me not good.

Mom's Kitchen. That's what it is. Take it or leave it. After 30 years, they have their stuff down. It's a pretty tiny place, but very homey and rustic. If you like rustic diners, this is for you! Had a breakfast meeting with one other person. We were seated quickly and had our coffees withing a minute. Good start. The server had her timing down-pat and was friendly but not "in your face" which is great when your having a meeting. I had one of the specials which was a bed of hash browns topped with onions, peppers and two eggs with rye toast. I didn't add any meat which was only $1 for ham or bacon and $1.50 for steak! Very tasty food all around. Could've eaten it all, but didn't. Very affordable! Will go back!

  • Shawn G.

Excellent food, especially their breakfast. The place has a quaint or rustic appearance, and quite frankly, that's part of the draw. It tends to get very busy weekend mornings, but the wait tends to pass very quickly. It's one of the handfuls of places left in the area where they make you feel like a friend, or in some cases family.

    (5)
  • Arlene T.

found this place here on yelp looking for turkey and dressing not gourmet but healthy serving of turkey breast and dressing with potatoes and gravy with greens and cranberry with a corn muffin and tea, was a good lunch. and the nicest wait staff, and I will go back.

    (4)
  • Jason M.

Excellent choice for any time of the day. The food is consistently good. It has many 'usuals' that are there. I have eaten everything from Italian, seafood, to all the breakfast specials and can never complain. Place is tight for space but tables turnover quickly when they are busy. The place seriously needs a make over and not the small touches to the environment they have done over the years. this place is always the go to place when different people in your party want to have different foods. Like I want fish, my wife wants waffles, the kids all want something different.

    (4)
  • Patty W.

I've missed this place. You can't go wrong with home cooking. It can get tight since it's a small place with a friendly staff that love their customers to death. While I prefer to have breakfast there, the chef salad I had for lunch the other day was good. Ham, cheese, turkey, ranch dressing, and eggs on top of a huge pile of lettuce made my day even happier.

    (3)
  • Bill B.

Nothing fancy but a great spot for breakfast. Very rustic, which is part of the appeal. Good menu choices, or variety, for breakfast. Something for everyone. The coffee is so-so but what you would expect from a diner. All-in-all a good place to eat. Don't expect gourmet, just basic quick diner style food in a nice atmosphere.

    (3)
  • Sean B.

It's close to the house and it's quick. Service is good and they always hustle. got to pick and choose what you order or you will be bummed out. Ordered The deluxe burger medium came over cooked. I ordered the hand made crab cakes on a whim. didn't work out not happy but with a diner it's not really worth sending back or finishing.

  • Richard W.

Reminds me of my childhood days, eating at diners on a Friday night with my family. Good home style cooking, big portions and reasonable prices. Breakfast always good. My favorite dinner is sliced turkey and dressing with mashed potatoes and gravy. Just like Mom would make it. Enjoy

Went there for breakfast and it was awesome! Excellent place with excellent service! Highly recommend. Small inside so get there early!

    (5)
  • Larry J.

I've gone to this place several times in the last several years. The experience was always the same. The prices are reasonable. The service is friendly. The food is adequate and the portions are large. Do not expect anything fancy, you won't get it. This is a you get what you pay for place. If you are one of those healthy hung up eaters, don't go. Remember seating is limited and don't be afraid to rub elbows with strangers.

    (4)
  • Heidi T.

I won't be going there again.

  • T C.

A lot of people apparently like this place but I ended up here for lunch and it was fairly awful. All I can speak to is lunch, but everything looked like it came out of the microwave. I had the fish sandwich. It was a small, thin, tasteless, non-descript brown triangle on bread. You know, "just like mom would've made it." Even the fish in a McDonalds fish sandwich looks meatier and healthier than what I was served. All of the sandwiches had a bag of chips thrown down next to them. Everybody in my party's meal looked just as bad as mine. The place was busy, though, and the waitstaff was efficient. I wouldn't eat here again, although everyone over in the 70-85 year old age range seemed to love the place and the food. This definitely seems to appeal to the senior, bargain-hunting crowd.

  • Lynne M.

This is THE place in the Boynton area if you need a good home cooked breakfast fast, with courteous service. We were a party of 4 on the way to to PBI and were well fed, out, and on our way in half an hour with plenty of time to make our plane.

    (4)
  • Jay M.

I eat here all the time with the grandparent. She likes it, I like it, and it's convenient. Service sort of depends on the person. Food depends on the night. They have a menu which looks like its from the 70s, but a full page of specials every day. Go for the specials. Cheap prices for what you get. Decently crappy decor. A little cramped.

This is THE place in the Boynton area if you need a good home cooked breakfast fast, with courteous service. We were a party of 4 on the way to to PBI and were well fed, out, and on our way in half an hour with plenty of time to make our plane.
